What is TPD (Turns Per Day)?
TPD (Turns Per Day) refers to the number of rotations per day of an automatic watch winder ⏱️. It is a key factor in ensuring your watch receives enough energy to keep running continuously.

How many turns are ideal?
The optimal TPD setting depends on your watch brand and model, as each watch has different energy requirements. Experts recommend setting the winder according to the brand’s standard and then adding 10–20% extra to ensure the watch has enough power, even if it isn’t worn every day or has a complex mechanism.

Example:

A Rolex may require 650 TPD (bi-directional).
To be safe and ensure consistent power, we recommend setting the winder to 700–800 TPD (bi-directional).
